Uh Oh! Stop That Cold Regimen!

We all know that colds are draining, annoying, and can last for weeks; but there are some amazing, secret remedies that can prevent or help with your cold symptoms.

"Uh Oh! Stop That Cold" Regimen

In no particular order, incorporating the items listed below will help your immune system and/or relieve cold and flu-like symptoms. You can use all of the suggestions or just a few. It will take experimentation to find out what is best for you. Next to each item is a (P*) for prevention and/or (R*) to relieve symptoms.

  • Oil of Oregano (PR*): 2 drops under the tongue in the morning and at night. (it is spicy but it helps). Get it here.

  • doTerra On Guard Lozenges (PR*): 2-3 throughout the day. Get it here.

  • doTerra On Guard Essential Oil (PR*): For the Air - 5 drops in the diffuser at night. For the Skin - Blend 1 tablespoon of fractionated coconut oil with 2 drops of doTerra On Guard Oil. Then massage the oil blend on your throat & chest. Get it here.

  • Zinc (PR*): 1-2 per day for 3 days. Get it here.

  • Amazing Grass Green Superfood (P*): 1 scoop daily. Mix with water or nut milk. Or add it to a smoothie. Get it here.

  • The old school regimen (R*): A shot of whiskey with honey. 

  • Drink Lots of Fluids!

Remember: Be considerate to others for the first 3 days of your cold by staying at home. If possible, take a week to recover before spending time with elderly family members and friends since they could easily pick up the cold “bug” you are carrying.
